Inza 

a city (settlement until 1946), the administrative center of Inza Raion, Ul’ianovsk Oblast, RSFSR; situated on the Siuksiumka River (basin of the Sura). It is a railway junction of the lines to Ul’ianovsk, Syzran’, and Ruzaevka. Population, 19,000 (1970). It has a diatomite combine (which produces tripolite insulating brick and other insulating materials), a woodworking plant, a dry milk and skimmed milk plant, a starch hydrolysis combine, a meat-packing plant, and a factory producing nonwoven materials. Inza is the site of a timber combine and a chemical timber establishment.
