2, 6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol, (CH3)(C4H9)2C6-H2OH. Industrial grade Ionol is a yellow powder with a melting point of 69°-70°C. It is used as an antioxidant in the manufacture of food products, lubricating oils, rubber, and other goods.
