Starting from fieldwork in the Sebystei valley (1996-1997), three neighbouring valleys in the Kosh-Agash region of the Altai Mountains were selected as research areas: Sebystei itself, Ielangash and Irbistu.
For the research of the Sebystei, Irbistu and Ielangash valleys, we studied images made by the CORONA mission 1042-1, revolution 086D (June 22, 1969).
Two adjacent valleys in the Southern border of the Chuya depression; the Irbistu and Ielangash River, not yet archaeologically surveyed, have been subject to a preliminary satellite examination.
