Ireliakh

or Ireleekh, a river in the Yakut ASSR; a left tributary of the Ochchugui-Botoubuia River (Villiui basin). Length, 112 km; basin area, 829 sq km. It is fed by snow and rain. Average annual flow rate at Mirnyi, 38 km from the mouth, is 2 cu m per sec (maximum, 135 cu m per sec). The Ireliakh freezes over in early October, freezing through to the bottom in winter; it thaws in late May. There are diamond deposits in the Ireliakh basin.
