Iron Horse State Park Location: In Easton, off I-90. Facilities: Trail (110 miles), 4 campgrounds, vault toilets, picnic area. Activities: Fishing, hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling. Special Features: Park was once part of the path of the Chicago-Milwaukee-St Paul-Pacific Railroad. More than 100 miles of trail extends from Cedar Falls to the Columbia River. It passes over 30 trestles and through 4 tunnels, one of which is 2.3 miles long. Along its course, the trail descends from 3,100 feet to 1,500 feet, but the grade does not exceed 2 percent. Also known as the John Wayne Pioneer Trail.
