An equation that is equivalent to one formed by setting an irreducible polynomial equal to zero.

Irreducible Equation

 

an algebraic equation f(x)= 0 whose left side cannot be factored into factors; that is, it is an irreducible polynomial. If an equation is not irreducible, then its solution is facilitated by reducing it to the solution of several algebraic equations of lower degree.
