Isanin, Nikolai Nikitich 

Born Apr. 22 (May 5), 1904, in Moscow. Soviet scientist specializing in shipbuilding. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1970) and Hero of Socialist Labor (1963). Member of the CPSU since 1926.

Isanin graduated from the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute in 1935. He was a deputy to the seventh and eighth convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. A recipient of the State Prize of the USSR in 1942 and of the Lenin Prize in 1959, he has been awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and various medals.
