Isham, Ralph Hayward

Isham, Ralph Hayward (1890–1955) manuscript collector; born in New York City. A business executive, he devoted his leisure to tracking down and acquiring manuscripts and papers of English author James Boswell. He published an 18-volume edition of his collection (1928–34) and sold the originals to Yale University in 1949.
