Ismailly

a city (until 1967 a settlement), administrative center of Ismailly Raion, Azerbaijan SSR. Population, 5,000 (1970).

Ismailly is located at the foot of the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus, 47 km northeast of the railroad station of Miusiusli (on the Tbilisi-Baku line), with which it is linked by a highway. The city has a furniture factory and a creamery and cheese dairy.
