Isocephaly 

in reliefs and paintings, the arrangement of the heads of figures (sometimes of different size and with figures in different poses) on a single level.

Isocephaly, practiced mainly in ancient art, invested the composition with rhythmic and decorative integrity and order. Isocephaly is also often seen in ancient Oriental and Renaissance art.
