Isoenthalpic Process

Also found in: Wikipedia 0.01 sec.
Isoenthalpic Process

a process in a physical system in which the enthalpy of the system—that is, the sum of the internal energy and the product of the pressure and volume—remains unchanged. A classical example of the isoenthalpic process is the flow of a gas through a porous membrane in the absence of heat transfer between the gas stream and the surrounding bodies (such as the walls of a pipe).
