Ithaki

(Ithaca), one of the Greek Ionian Islands, located near the west coast of the Balkan Peninsula. Area, approximately 90 sq km; maximum elevation, 804 m.

In the ancient Greek epics, Ithaki was the home and kingdom of Odysseus. However, identification of Homer’s Ithaki with the actual island is debatable.
