Iudoma-Maía Highland
a highland in northeastern Siberia, in the basin of the Maia River and its tributary the Iudoma (Aldan basin), in the Yakut ASSR and Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. The Iudoma-Maia Highland is composed chiefly of sandstones and shales. Average elevations range from 800 to 1,200 m; the maximum elevation is 2,213 m. Larch taiga is found on the slopes; above 1,200 m there are thickets of dwarf stone pine and vegetation typical of mountain tundra. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
