Iuzhno-Muia
a mountain range in Transbaikalia, in the Buriat ASSR. The Iuzhno-Muia Range is about 400 km long and extends from the source of the Barguzin River to the upper course of the Chara River. The Vitim River cuts through the range. The maximum elevation is 2,721 m. The mountains are composed of granites, schists, and metamorphosed limestones and dolomites.
