Buianov, Ivan Andreevich
Born May 16 (28), 1897, in a village now called Gorki, Lenin Raion, Moscow Oblast. Died Dec. 12, 1965, in Gorki. Was active in the kolkhoz movement; twice hero of socialist labor (1950, 1957). Member of the CPSU since 1931. In 1929, Buianov was among the “twenty-five thousanders” sent for agricultural work and was elected chairman of the Vladimir H’ich Kolkhoz in the village of Gorki, Lenin Raion, Moscow Oblast. Under Buianov’s management (1929-63) the kolkhoz became one of the most advanced kolkhozes in the country. Buianov was a deputy to the Fifth and Sixth convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and a delegate to the Twenty-first and Twenty-second congresses of the CPSU. He is the author of the books A Kolkhoz Near Moscow (1956) and To You, Life (1965). Buianov was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Badge of Honor, and medals. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
