Jaén

a city in southern Spain, in Andalusia. Capital of Jaén Province. Population, 81,700 (1973). Jaén is the center of a large olive-growing region. Industry includes food processing (especially the production of olive oil), the repair of agricultural machinery, and the manufacture of leather goods, textiles, and ceramic ware.
