Jackson, Maynard (Holbrook) (1938–  ) mayor; born in Dallas, Texas. A 1956 graduate of Morehouse College, he received his J.D. from North Carolina Central State School of Law. He was an attorney and director of community relations for the Emory Neighborhood Law Office in Atlanta (1968–69) and a senior partner at Jackson, Patterson & Parks (1970–73). He served as mayor of Atlanta, Ga., from 1974–82 and again from 1990.
