Jacobsen, Alfred (1890–1967) oil executive; born near Copenhagen, Denmark. He spent 20 years gaining oil company experience in Mexico before joining Amerada Petroleum (1926–65). Variously president, CEO, and chairman of the board, he helped to make Amerada one of the leading oil search companies in the country.
