Jajce

 

a city in Yugoslavia, in the Socialist Republic of Bosnia-Hercegovina, on the Vrbas River, near its confluence with the Pliva. Population, 8,500 (1976). A hydroelectric system is situated on the Pliva River. Jajce also has an electrochemical plant and an enterprise for the production of ferroalloys. The city’s Museum of the National-Liberation Struggle is housed in the building in which the second session of the Antifascist National-Liberation Council of Yugoslavia took place on Nov. 29–30, 1943.

On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of establishment of HDZ BiH in Jajce municipality, Chairman of BiH Presidency and President of HDZ BiH Dragan Covic, said that it was necessary to build living ambiaence, pointing out that over 40,000 members of the HDZ BiH "give power to assume responsibility for own people for all good and bad things".
The fact that the observance was held in the building of the Jajce municipality, where Croats participate in power, confirms the existence of better climate for Croat people, - Covic pointed out in his address.
