Location:From Route 60 west, turn right on Route 605 at the James River Bridge. Go 7 miles and turn left at Route 606.
Facilities:27 primitive campsites, canoe camp, horsemen's camp, picnic areas, picnic shelters, multi-use trails (20 miles), boat launches, fishing pier, toilets, (é).
Activities:Camping, boating, canoeing, freshwater fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, interpretive programs.
Special Features:One of Virginia’s newest state parks, James River includes three fishing ponds and three miles of shoreline along its namesake river.
