Jarí 

(Jary), a river in northeastern Brazil, a left tributary of the lower course of the Amazon. Length, approximately 1,000 km. The river originates in the Guiana Highlands and flows to the south, forming rapids. It is fed by rain. The high-water period is from June to August, and the low-water period is from November to March.
