In south-central ID, north of Twin Falls; organized Feb 18, 1919 from Gooding and Lincoln counties. Name Origin: Either for Jerome Hill, a principal figure in the Twin Falls North Side Irrigation Project (1905), or Jerome Kuhn, his son-in-law, or for Jerome Kuhn, Jr., his grandson. All were major figures in the growth of the county.
