Jihlava (yēkh`lävä), Ger. Iglau, city (1991 pop. 51,831), central Czech Republic, in Moravia, on the Jihlava River. Jihlava is a railway junction and has industries manufacturing linen and woolen cloth, precision instruments, and tobacco.
