Jodelle, Estienne (ātyĕn` zhôdĕl`), 1532–73, French poet of the Pléiade (see under Pleiad Pléiade from the Alexandrian Pleiad. The conventional seven of this group are Ronsard (the leader), Joachim Du Bellay , Belleau , Jodelle , Tyard , Baïf , and Daurat .
