John Wingate Weeks Historic Site Location: Off US 3, just south of Lancaster. Facilities: Historic home, picnic tables, scenic auto tour. Activities: Guided tours, picnicking, hiking, biking. Special Features: Site preserves the home of John Wingate Weeks, leading conservationist, US congressman, US senator, and Secretary of War under Presidents Harding and Coolidge. The house is set at the top of Mt. Prospect in Lancaster, and the house and grounds offer a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
