A chronic inflammation of the intestinal tract of sheep, cattle, and deer caused byMycobacterium paratuberculosis.

WELSH beef farmers are being offered support to help them identify the potentially fatal Johne's disease in their herds.
The initial disease included in the programme are bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD), Johne's disease and liver fluke.
These herds were selected based on criteria that included known Johne's disease prevalence, Salmonella positive status and on-farm disease recording.
