Jolfa 

a city in northwestern Iran; located on the right bank of the Araks River opposite the Soviet city of Dzhul’fa (on the river’s left bank). Jolfa is connected with the city of Tabriz by highway and railroad. The population consists primarily of office workers of local establishments. Freight between the USSR and Iran passes through Jolfa.

The Jolfa-Nakhchivan railway yesterday reopened connecting Jolfa (northwestern Iran) to Autonomous Republic of Nackchivan.
Schrauzer, PhD, professor emeritus of chemistry, University of California, La Jolfa, appraised Revici as "an innovative medical genius, outstanding chemist, and a highly creative thinker" in a public letter to the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York in 1986.
