Jones, (Benjamin Allyn) “Plain Ben” (1882–1961) horse trainer; born in Parnell, Mo. He trained for the Calumet Farm (1939–61) and conditioned such Triple Crown-winning thoroughbreds as Whirlaway (1941), and Citation (1948).
