Juridical Commission 

in the USSR from 1957 to 1970, a body attached to the Council of Ministers of the USSR; it was charged with carrying out tasks related to the codification and systematization of the legislation of the USSR and with drafting legislative acts and resolutions of the government of the USSR that had a normative character. The tasks, rights, and obligations of the Juridical Commission were defined by the Statute Approved by the Council of Ministers of the USSR on June 13, 1958 (Collected Decrees of the Government of the USSR, 1958, no. 10, art. 89).

Juridical commissions are also attached to the councils of ministers of the Union republics.
