Justin (Marcus Junianus Justinus), fl. 3d cent., Roman historian. He made a collection of excerpts from Trogus Trogus (Cnaeus Pompeius Trogus) , fl. A.D. 5, Roman historian of Gallic origin. His history of the world, which survives only in excerpts by Justin, dealt with Assyria, Persia, Greece, Macedon and the other Hellenistic kingdoms, Rome, Gaul, and Spain.
