Ajdukiewicz, Kazimierz 

Born Dec. 12, 1890; died April 12, 1963. Polish logician and philosopher.

From 1925 through 1938, Ajdukiewicz was a professor at L’vov and Warsaw universities. In 1938 he became head of the Poznan Philosophical Society. He was a regular member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Ajdukiewicz is primarily known for his works on philosophical value and the interpretation of the achievements of general and mathematical logic. This interest is reflected in his semantic theory of language.
