Knockout 

the condition of a boxer that is characterized by dizziness, partial or complete loss of orientation, and sometimes loss of consciousness as a result of a blow. Once knocked out, the athlete cannot continue the match. A boxer who has lost by a knockout is usually barred from boxing matches for at least three months. As boxers have become more skilled, the number of knockouts has significantly decreased. Between 1970 and 1973 only about 1.5 percent of Soviet championship bouts were won by knockouts.
