knol
(unit of KNOwLedge) An encyclopedia from Google that is edited by users. Unlike Wikipedia, in which authors are anonymous, knol authors are featured as experts with bylines and bios. Introduced in late 2007, the goal is to develop a collective body of knowledge from authorities in the field. For more information, visit www.google.com/help/knol_screenshot.html and www.knolstuff.com. See Wikipedia.
