Accessible by US 89, 64, and 67. Nearby cities/towns include Ash Fork, Cottonwood, Flagstaff, Fredonia, Grand Canyon, and Williams. Facilities: 2 visitors centers, 8 campgrounds, picnic sites, trails, ski area, scenic drives. Activities: Camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, skiing, wildlife viewing. Special Features: The Grand Canyon divides the forest into North and South districts. Forest provides the only known habitat for Kaibab squirrels. Highway 67, also known as the Kaibab Plateau Scenic Byway, is described as "the most beautiful 44 miles in Arizona."
