Kaiserling's method [′kī·zər·liŋz ‚meth·əd]
(biology) A method for preserving organ specimens and retaining their color by fixing in a solution of formalin, water, potassium nitrate, and potassium acetate, immersing in ethyl alcohol to restore color, and preserving in a solution of glycerin, aqueous arsenious acid, water, potassium acetate, and thymol.
