Kakinada

Kakinada (kəkĭnä`də) or Cocanada (kōkənä`də), town (1991 pop. 327,541), Andhra Pradesh state, SE India, on the Godavari River delta. A coastal trading port on the Bay of Bengal, it is now a district administrative center and a market for sugarcane, peanuts, tobacco, cotton, and iron ore. There is a flour-milling factory and a salt-processing plant.
Kakinada 

(Cocanada), city and port in India, located on the Bay of Bengal in the Godavari River delta in Andhra Pradesh. Population, 164, 200 (1971). Kakinada is linked with the sea by a system of canals in the delta. Cotton, rice, flour, tobacco, and steel ingots are exported. In the city and its environs there is metallurgy, salt production, and small ship building.

Universal Biofuels completed construction and commissioning of the Kakinada plant in November of 2008, and has been producing and selling biodiesel and glycerin to a variety of customers in India.
