Kalakh: see Calah Calah or Kalakh , ancient city of Assyria, S of Nineveh and therefore S of present Mosul, Iraq. Known as Calah in the Bible, it is the same as the ancient Nimrud, named after a legendary Assyrian hunting hero.

The bumble bees experience was used for the first time in Homs on Tomato crop on an area of 340 square meters in al-Masidda village in Tal Kalakh region in the framework of Farmers' Field School which aims at rationalizing the use of fertilizers to produce safe and free of fertilizers crops.
These included projects in Taif, Sudaira Kalakh, Ashira Al Mahani, Al Ateef, Al Mawiya, Ommu Al Doum, Al Rokna, Bani Saad, Bani Malik, Thaqeef, Haddad and Al Qurai.
Hamdi Kalakh was the eighth member of the radical Islamic faction to be wiped out in a week.
