a genus of butterflies of the family Nymphalidae.The wingspread measures 6–8 cm. When the butterfly sits on atree branch with folded wings, it has the shape and coloring ofa dead leaf (a classic example of mimicry). The upper side of thewings is vividly colored. The genus comprises several speciesdistributed in tropical Asia.
