Kammon 

(also Shimonoseki) a strait between the Japanese islands of Honshu and Kyushu, linking the Inland Sea with the Sea of Japan. It is 28 km long, 1.8 km wide at the narrowest point, and up to 10 m deep in the navigable channel. The ports of Moji, Wakamatsu, and Kokura are situated on the south side, and Shimonoseki on the north (Moji and Shimonoseki together make up the port of Kammon).
