Kamenets 

an urban-type settlement, center of KamenetsRaion, Brest Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Situated on the LesnaRiver, a tributary of the Bug, 28 km from the Zhabinka railroadstation on the Baranovichi-Brest line. Population, 5, 100 (1972). There is a plant for drying vegetables and a butter and cheeseplant in the city. Kamenets also has a branch of the Brest OblastMuseum of Local Lore (in the “Belaia Vezha” tower, an architectural monument of the 13th century). The Bialowieza(Belovezha) Forest Nature Museum is located in the village ofKameniuki, 23 km from Kamenets.
