Karai 

(on its upper course the Mokryi Karai), a river in Saratov Oblast, RSFSR, a right tributary of the Khoper (Don basin). Length, 139 km; basin area, 2, 680 sq km. It flows over the Oka-Don Plain through a broad valley and is fed chiefly by melting snow. The average annual rate of flow 16 km from the mouth is 6.3 cu m per sec. Its waters are used for irrigation.
