Karakoin

 

or Dabusuntuz, a salt lake in southern Karaganda Oblast, Kazakh SSR. Situated on the edge of the Betpak-Dala Desert. Area, approximately 72.5 sq km. Lake Karakoin is landlocked and has a fan-shaped shoreline. Its bays and the small lakes that have separated from it contain curative muds.
