Karkaralinsk Mountains
a mountain massif in theeastern Kazakh Hills. It reaches an altitude of 1, 565 m at MountAksoran, which is the highest point in Central Kazakhstan. Themountains are composed of granite, porphyrite, quartzite, andother minerals. The slopes are deeply furrowed by valleys andravines, and there are many lakes.
