Kazarinova, Nina Nikolaevna 

Born Oct. 27 (Nov. 9), 1907, in Perm’. Soviet Russian actress; People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1957). Member of the CPSU since 1944. One of the organizers of, and an actress in, the Young People’s Theater in Perm’ (1926–28).

Kazarinova graduated from the Leningrad Technicum of Theatrical Arts in 1931. In 1930 she began to act with the Leningrad Young People’s Theater, playing children’s parts. Her heroes are impassioned youths with great dreams. Kazarinova’s best roles include Sema in The Marshal’s Childhood by Vsevolozhskii, Gavrik and Vania Solntsev in The Lone White Sail and Son of the Regiment by Kataev, Pashka in Pashka by Makar’ev, and Shura in The Red Necktie by Mikhalkov. She later played the roles of old women (Feklusha in Ostrovskii’s Thunderstorm, for example).
