Kazimierz Dolny

a city in Poland, in Lublin Wojewodztwo, on the right shore of the Vistula River, 44 km from Lublin.

Kazimierz Dolny was founded in the 14th century. There are ruins of castles in the city (14th and 17th centuries) and buildings in the style of the Late Renaissance: a 14th-century church, rebuilt between 1586 and 1613; houses with richly ornamented attics and sculptured decoration, like those named “Under St. Michael” and “Under St. Christopher” (both c. 1615), and the Celej House (c. 1635); and granaries. Other sights include the baroque Church of St. Anne (late 17th century) and the Reformed church and monastery (17th century).
