Kenyon, Jane

Kenyon, (Jennifer) Jane (1947–  ) poet; born in Ann Arbor, Mich. (wife of Donald Hall). She studied at the University of Michigan (B.A. 1970; M.A. 1972). As translator of Twenty Poems of Anna Akhmatova (1985), she gained critical approval, but she is best known for her own perceptive and finely crafted poetry, as in Let Evening Come (1990). She lived in Wilmot, N.H.
