Kharlamov, Valerii Borisovich 

Born Jan. 14, 1948, in Moscow. Soviet ice hockey player. Honored Master of Sport (1969). Officer in the Soviet Army.

Kharlamov, who plays on the same line with Honored Masters of Sport V. V. Petrov and B. P. Mikhailov, has won championships of the USSR (1970–73, 1975, 1977–80), Europe (1969–70, 1973, 1975, 1978–79), the world (1969–71, 1973, 1975, 1978–79), and the Olympic Games (1972, 1976). He plays on the hockey team of the Central Sports Club of the Army, which won the European Champion Clubs Cup every year from 1969 through 1975.

Kharlamov has been awarded two orders and several medals.
