Khilji
a dynasty of Turkic origin that ruled the Sultanate of Delhi from 1290 to 1320. The dynasty was founded by Jalal al-Din Firuz Khilji, who ruled until 1296. The most notable member of the dynasty was Ali al-Din Khilji, whose reign lasted from 1296 to 1316. After the assassination of his son Mubarak Shah (ruled 1316–20), the Tughlak dynasty came to power in Delhi. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
