(sometimes incorrectly called a kilogram-meter), a unit of energy and work in the mks system. Its abbreviated designations are as follows: Russian, kgs. m or kGm; international, kgf.m or kG.m. Work of 1 kgf.m is produced by a force of 1 kgf in displacing the point of application of the force by 1 m in the direction of the force; 1 kgf.m = 9.80665 joules (J).
