Leopold and Astrid Coast

a part of the coast of Princess Elizabeth Land (Eastern Antarctica), between 81° and 87.5° E long. The Leopold and Astrid Coast is the edge of the continental ice sheet, the surface of which drops sharply forming the West Ice Shelf. The area has been explored by Soviet antarctic expeditions.
